The Royal Order of Kamehameha I was founded on April 11, 1865 by His Majesty King Kamehameha V. The Royal Order of Kamehameha I was forced underground during the unsuccessful revolt in 1893. The subsequent United States backed Provisional Government and the illegally recognized Republic followed, despite the clear will of 95 percent of our people to resist any attempt to annex our country to the United States, a foreign power, and despite treaties between the Kingdom of Hawai’i and the United States.
The American government chose to ignore said treaties, international law, as well as their own laws to occupy the lands of a free and independent people and to coerce the body politic of the Hawaiian subjects.
The operation of our national government was suspended but its protocols remain in self-exile to those loyal to the Kingdom. We are the living legacy of those loyalists, the Royal Order of Kamehameha I, reorganized in 1902 by His Royal Highness, Prince Jonah Kuhio Kalaniana’ole.
We, by our protocols, must protect the iwi of our ancestors and all that is sacred to our kingdom. We believe the Kingdom of Hawai’i exists because all attempts to overthrow the Kingdom of Hawai’i have failed.
Therefore, we remind all Hawaiian subjects and all peoples that the United States of America, the state of Hawai’i and its agencies have no legal jurisdiction here in our fatherland.
