Aloha i ka ‘aina
Love for the land

I ke one hanau
The sands of our birth

O ke ao lewa he inoa
A time to exalt the name

O ka Haku, ka Mo’i
of the Lord, our King

Na keiki kama’aina
Of the children of the land

Na pua ‘ala mau
The ever fragrant flowers

The sovereignty returned

Kau hou ka Hae Hawai’i
Hawai’i’s flag restored

Nolaila e na hoa
Therefore my friends

E ku a mele pu
Let us stand and sing

Hau’oli like kakou
Happy are we

Ma keia waoakua
in this blessed land

Ua nui na la i hala
Many are the days that have passed

‘A’ole kakou i ho’omana’o
That we have not remembered.
